Romanian Council
The Government
The Romanian Vampire Council conducts business through fear and intimidation. Of course all of the other councils did too, but this council is ruthless. Attacks leave victims with broken necks and missing jugulars. Since the Romanians view themselves as a superior race, converting is not an option. They simply feed to survive with violent and bloody aftermath leaving no chance of a human being becoming a vampire. Such an atrocity would taint the Romanian bloodline. Legends, myths, fables all gave origins of the Romanian Council dating back to one: Dracula, also thought to be Vlad the Impaler.
Vlad was a brutal bloody leader but ultimately misunderstood for his era. He was a man of strict morals with black and white boundaries. There were no gray areas. He accomplished great feats for his people and was celebrated as a hero. Of course Romanian Council leaders watched from the shadows. The Romanian ancestors fed in the night on the fresh blood of enemies impaled, staked out, serving as a warning to potential saboteurs and spies by Vlad. Those disloyal with malice to Vlad and his people would pay the ultimate brutal bloody price. Although his tactics were sound for his people and highly effective in deterring other potential saboteurs, the Romanian vampires found a way to capitalize. Their myth grew until only Dracula served as an entire sub-species' inception. Romanian humans cried out in protest for centuries. Dracula, son of Dracul, Draco, Order of the Dragon, the devil himself, falsely labeled founder and creator of vampires as Vlad the Impaler. Vlad’s false myth grew past fables to the big screens worldwide. Images of shadows with glistening blood against the moonlight gripped the entire world.
The first born of this hidden legend is actually Strigoi, the first ever recorded of his kind. A demonic spirit in Romanian culture that took the shape of an animal or some ghostly appearance. Strigoi was punished, trapped in the form of a human child who was cursed to walk on earth lusting in fear, sulking in the shadows. He was the first to feed on the carcasses left out by Vlad. Strigoi causes problems for all those who he encounters. A master of deception and manipulation for personal gains, he learned to survive inculpating victims providing unobtainable forbidden meals. The more victims that Vlad claimed in his brutal bloody tactics, the better Strigoi would feast.
His objective was focused on existing in the dark, draining the vitality of his victims directly from their veins. Lonely, Strigoi created the Romanian Council primarily out of destitute. These pursuivants are the purebloods as they originate from a bite of Strigoi himself. The fable of Dracula had to continue to protect the anonymity of Strigoi from religious groups. He learned that controlling human beings meant a psychological game of fraile inferiority on cognitive dissonance in an evil eternal game of brilliance.
Unless the Romanian Council has deemed a person worthy of pure conversion, probably not the best idea to entangle yourself with this council.
